Original Antique Boyd's Battery in excellent condition as shown with hanging loop. This was the most famous of the galvanic medical batteries. They were made from different metals and promised to create a healing current when pressed to the skin. Some people claimed they tingled as they worked to draw out the bad energies from the body and replace them with good energy. Boyd's Battery was patented in 1878.
